Building Stress Resilience

Aug 06, 2025
If stress is in your mind, it is likely also in your body.

It is affecting every cell in your body, causing you to age faster and increasing your susceptibility to illness.

This is what we see most in medical practice today: stress, anxiety, burnout, lack of sleep... Some young patients just out of their teenage are now presenting with persistent symptoms and abnormal test results that we used to see only in adulthood.

All this because of ongoing stress...
The problem is that conventional medical doctors typically consider anxiety as a mental issue only.

They don't address the physical imbalance that results from stress, which circulates in a chemical cascade in the body.

Instead, they refer their anxious patients to psychiatrists who prescribe strong medications that alter neurotransmitters, year after year, keeping them in a state of dependency.

Not only do these treatments cause tremendous side effects, but they also disempower patients who would have thrived using more natural approaches.

Here is why...

We have a whole pharmacy within us that works perfectly when we are in a state of balance, and gets disrupted when we have too much stress. In many cases, there is no need to replace or boost neurotransmitters that have just been disrupted!

All we have to do is rebalance the body, especially the adrenals, so neurotransmitters and hormones can flow harmoniously. This helps the mind calm down and stop it from generating more stress.

Stress causes a hormonal imbalance that affects the body chemistry, and it needs to be treated. The main hormone you hear of when it comes to stress is Cortisol, which affects Insulin and the sex hormones. The production of Estrogen, Progesterone, DHEA, and Testosterone tends to go down with stress.

When we lose our hormones, we also lose our stress resilience. We start feeling anxious, overreactive, overwhelmed, fatigued, having trouble sleeping, or even controlling our weight.

All these symptoms lower our immune system, increase inflammation, and eventually lead to accelerated aging and higher susceptibility to illness.
So, how can we have a solid layer of protection to stay healthy in stressful times?

THE STRESS BUNDLE

1. MAGNESIUM BIGLYCINATE in a Chelated form. Lack of Magnesium causes anxiety and panic attacks. It becomes depleted with stress and caffeine and needs to be replenished daily. Not all forms of magnesium are equal, and our Highbe magnesium is formulated for the nervous system. It has helped many patients over the years who have really seen a major improvement with anxiety and sleep.

2. MULTIVITAMIN that contains a strong B complex, which plays an important role in the nervous system.
  • One formulated for women, with added Selenium and Iodine to support thyroid function, which tends to be more vulnerable for women when they have excess stress.
  • One formulated for men to provide a strong blend of vitamins and support men's health with added Lycopene, Zinc, Quercetin, and Resveratrol.
3. ASHWAGANDHA, an ayurvedic herb that has been extensively used to rebalance adrenal function and boost levels of testosterone. The calming effects of Ashwagandha depend on the strength and quality of the supplement. Highbe Ashwagandha contains three different herb extracts that work together in synergy to provide the best results.
